Mōryō no Hako (魍魎の匣)Taking inspirations from the Japanese novel of the same title, and together with Pandora's Box. Moryo in both Chinese and Japanese legends are known as evil spirits, in this case, concealed in a box. To open the box means releasing the evil that was within, or brutal truth if according to the novel. Tamamo no Mae - Behind the MaskTamamo no Mae is a legendary figure that appeared as a golden nine tail fox spirit, said to seduce powerful leaders and brought falls to empires. Her legends spread across different countries with slightly different versions.Ancient tales were often exaggerated or misunderstood. The thought of this female figure could have been a foreign with exotic appearance, and ancient people unable to understand the differences, could very well had created the image that she was actually a supernatural being back then.This was the inspiration for this image.
